Life 24 (Verse 5) Rom.12:2

Rom.12-2

Have you ever felt like you were going through life on autopilot? There are clear times where you see God working in your life and then there is the every day, ordinary life? Are we making a difference, does anyone notice and what’s the point. That is what Romans 12:2 is for me. It’s a reminder that in everything we can be the hands and face of God. That whatever we do is a chance to develop ourselves to be more Christ like. But it really is a mind frame. We have to set our focus and be intentional about the ways we are going to deal with the day to day challenges and even mundane things that come our way. This is why I LOVE the message version of Romans 12:2 so much. It’s such a clear perspective that in everything we do there is an opportunity to grow and mature in our walk with Christ!

12 1-2 So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

Lord-I have come so far in life but the journey is for sure not over. Help me to not take for granted the opportunities you lay before me to grow and know you better. May I recognize what you are putting in front of me day to day and may I be quick to respond to the growth process letting it change me from the inside out!~Amen
